Day 01: Chennai

Arrive into Chennai
Welcome to Vardman's "Tamilnadu Travel Package". On arrival in Chennai, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel.

Day 02: Chennai
This morning after breakfast proceed on a city tour of Chennai
Visit Fort St. George, San Thome Cathedral and the museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery. (Closed on Fridays and Public holidays). High court, Marina Beach, San Thome Cathedral and Snake Park..

Day 03: Chennai- Kanchipuram- Mahabalipuram
This morning after breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram enroute visit Kanchipuram.
Kanchipuram
Visit Kanchipuram Temples, Kailasanatha Temple and Vaikunda Perumal Temple that exhibit a fine example of ancient architecture. Cotinue drive to Mahabilipuram.
Upon arrival at Mahabalipuram check into your hotel.

Day 04: Mahabalipuram
Today enjoy a full day city tour absorbing the stunning rock carvings of Mahabilipuram. The remaining Shore Temple is a World Heritage Monument . After lunch you are free to explore at your leisure or enjoy the beach.

Day 05:Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
After breakfast drive to Pondicherry. Upon arrival at Pondicherry, check into your hotel.
Later proceed on a city tour of Pondicherry.
Pondicherry: Although the French influence is gradually fading, Pondicherry retains a few Gallic accents. Pondicherry's main sights are the Rai Nivas, the Sacred Heart Church and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. The ashram retreat was founded in 1926 by Sri Aurobindo after whose death the spiritual authority passed to one of his disciples, a French woman known as the Mother. The Mother was also instrumental in founding the city of Dawn Auroville, 10 km from Pondicherry. Its original charter aimed at creating a city of the future where people from India and abroad could live and work together in a spiritual environment.

Day 06:Pondicherry - Chidambaram- Tanjore.
This morning after breakfast drive to Tanjore enroute visit Chidambaram.
Chidambaram
Chidambaram Temple to witness their 1030 morning puja or worship ceremony. Briefly visit the auspicious Mahamaham Tank at Kumbukonam, and Darasuram Temple. Later drive to Tanjore. Upon arrival at Tanjore check into your hotel.

Day 07: Tanjore - Trichy
Today after breakfast visit the Big Temple of Brihadisvara is a World Heritage Monument and is a remarkable architectural feat similar to Egyptian Pyramids. Many of the treasures of Tanjore and the surrounding area are housed in Art Gallery and Mahal Library within the Palace.
Later drive to Trichy. Upon arrival check into your hotel.

Day 08: Trichy
After breakfast visit Ranganatha Vishnu Temple. View various religious ceremonies being performed by people on the banks of River Cauveryo with the ashes of their loved ones. We climb the 437 steps to the Rock Fort Temple at sunset for panoramic views over the Cauvery River delta and Srirangam island.

Day 09: Trichy
Today we explore some rarely visited ancient sites near Trichy including Moovar Koil Temple at Kodumbalur, ancient cave temples of the Jains at Sittannavasal and Pudukottai where a museum houses a wide range of sculptures.

Day 10: Trichy - Madurai
After breakfast drive to Madurai enroute visit wealthy Chettinad area where the riches of these traders can be seen in their palatial homes, a superb example being the Chettiar Palace. Upon arrival at Madurai check into your hotel
Later visit Madurai Meenakshi temple.

Day 11: Madurai - Bangalore
This morning after breakfast transfer to the Madurai airport to catch flight for Bangalore. On arrival, transfer to the International airport to board the flight for your onward destination with sweet and unforgettable memories of "Tamilnadu Travel Package" escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
